MILK SAVER DEVICE

Patented Bamboo Milk Saver

The device is an innovative apparatus which can be used for saving milk from boiling over.

Milk contains many substances in suspended colloidal form, mainly proteins, sugar and fats.

When milk is heated, proteins and fats get separated. Since they are lighter than milk, they

collect on the surface & form a layer, called 'cream'. Milk also contains water, which

gets trapped below cream. When water converts into vapour, it requires a route to escape.

When cream does not allow it to escape, it pushes cream upwards, which is why milk spills.

While milk boils, the natural curve of bamboo as well as the slits given in the bend, break

cream before it forms. Cream sticks on to the bottom of the device. Since the cream layer

breaks, vapour gets a way to rise and milk does not boil over. The concave side of the device

is to be placed upwards, so that the curve of bamboo pushes and breaks cream. An additional

functionality in this device is to heat food products like butter and chocolate. A slit is provided

on top of the apparatus in such a way that a smaller vessel can directly be placed upon

the spill proof milk boiling device.
